His print “Zulu Warrior Dancers” is the best selling print in Kreations’ brief history. Teresa (pronounced Ta-res-sa), is an artist and freelance graphic designer. Art has been a massive part of her life since the eighth grade after joining the art club at her elementary school. From this resulted in being apart of a mural that graced the window of Marshall Fields, and now is permanently placed in the Cook County Juvenile Correctional Center.
Even in high school, Teresa majored in Media Arts, and was blessed to participate in creating a mural that now rest in the halls of Curie Metro High School. With canvas in hand, expression in heart, she created various pieces with acrylics, oils, and watercolor. Many moons and sunsets later, Teresa still use art to create visually. Now, it is rare that she uses the conventional media of paint, but the main media is to use the computer to construct illustrations.
When words cannot explain/express a brush, pen, or other media can show the world why her eyes twinkle, or what gives her face a special rose glow. Most times, she is known to be very quiet an Art literally calls his name. Rashawn’s first introduction into abstract impressions was the 3rd grade. He couldn’t draw, so his teacher taught him how to mix colors with crayons. He soon became a master of abstract art. By the time Rashawn reached High School, people in the professional area began to take notice of him. He received the coveted “Chicago Tribune Achievement Award” and went on to become one of the prestigious inductees to the Chicago Tribune’s “Hire the Future” program
He does with digital what some people do with paint. Digital art colors are the hardest colors to work with because they can become muddy. However, Rashawn has devised a way to use multiple colors to make his art pop and with its high resolution, give his art the ultimate vibrancy. According to Rashawn, Art should be living and breathing. His theory is if you can focus on that one red dot you can branch out from there; the possibilities are endless. In essence, I am a storyteller. My images pose questions and deliver storylines of personal growth, social concerns and life struggles. My work is about exploring the human disposition, life experiences, and expressing emotion. It’s about educating and challenging the audience.
My documentary/portrait style of shooting is heavily influenced by the Civil Rights Movement and the Harlem Renaissance. The works of James VanDerZee, Gordon Parks, and Roy DeCarava have helped me discover and define my style. Over the past few years I’ve become emotionally attached to shooting with a square frame in mind. I shoot square format to exposing the unbalanced issue or message that lies in that perfectly balanced frame. Square frames lend a certain aesthetic punch that helps direct and focus my story. Artists and Designer Kelley Moseley seeks to promote & compliment individual style. This Chicago native is a self taught artist that is willing to push traditional standards & methods by introducing a collection of unconventional jewelry, accessories and style. Each 'peace' is created with love, life, joy and freedom. K~FLEYE also designs limited edition hand bags & clothing.
